Landscaping Crew Member Position

We are hiring! J&C Lawn Care is looking for a landscaping crew member to join our team. The person who fills this position will be responsible for lawn service tasks including mowing, edging, string trimming (AKA weed eating/whacking), lawn cleanups, and more.

Our office is located on the east side of Portland, Oregon. Applicants for our landscaping crew member position should live close by and be able to commute to work every day. Areas such as Gresham, Happy Valley, Battin, and Sunnyside are all locations that are driving distance to our office.

Requirements for Our Landscaping Crew Member:

• Highly motivated, hardworking, and dependable worker
• At least 1 year of experience in lawn care, lawn maintenance, or landscaping
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Customer service skills are preferred
• A team player
• Must have a strong willingness and eagerness to learn
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Work Monday through Friday
• Must have reliable transportation to our office in Portland

Landscaping Crew Member Job Duties:

• Lawn mowing using various mowers such as walk behinds, zero-turns, and stand ons.
• Edging of lawns and landscape beds using a power edger
• String trimming (AKA weed-eating/weed whacking) around obstacles on the customer’s property
• Mulch and rock installation in landscape beds
• Seasonal property cleanups

Pay:

• Starting pay is $16-20 an hour, depending on experience and skills. Room to advance.
• $250 bonus after 2 months
